About Dina

I earned my Masters in Applied Behavioral Science/Systems Counseling from Bastyr University's Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS). Before opening my private counseling practice in 2002, I spent nearly a decade working in Human Resources Training and Development. Prior to that, I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University.

I worked for three years at Fairfax Psychiatric Hospital on the Psychiatric Assessment Team as well as on the Adolescent Unit where I facilitated therapy groups for inpatient teens. Prior to that, I worked for two years for Powerful Voices, a non-profit organization specializing in working with adolescent girls, mostly in the role of group facilitator for their health and wellness program within King County Juvenile Detention Center. I'm a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Seattle Counselors Association. I teach Nia fitness, a combination of dance, yoga, and martial arts and recognize the significant relationship between mind, body and spirit in lasting change and well-being.

I bring both a practical side and a deep appreciation for the mysteries of the human experience to my work. I take pride in my ability to both hold an individual in their highest capacity and sit with them on their worst day. I see counseling as an opportunity to solve a current problem and as a chance to grow and evolve as a person. If this resonates with you, I encourage you to give me a call or drop me an e-mail.
